FAQ

  • my pond is losing water?

A common summer issue is water loss. First, check how much water is lost over 24 hours with the waterfall turned off. If there’s no loss, the problem is in the waterfall. If water is still lost with the waterfall off, the issue is in the pond.

  • my pump was working fine and it just shut off?

Most pumps are plugged into a GFCI outlet. If it rained in the last day, the plug might have gotten wet and tripped the GFCI, so you need to reset it. Also, you can check if the pump is working by using an extension cord from a good outlet. Another possibility is that debris clogged the bottom of the pump, which means you will need to remove it to clean the clog.

  • how much does is it to clean my pond?

Every pond is unique and requires different amounts of time and effort to clean and restore. Sometimes, even a small pond that hasn’t been maintained for years can take longer to fix than a larger pond that has been regularly cleaned.

  • are the products you use in ponds harmful?

We are committed to using only EPA-approved materials in all of our ponds and water features. This careful selection ensures that nothing harmful to either people or animals is ever introduced into your backyard oasis. Additionally, we meticulously maintain records of all materials utilized in our projects, providing peace of mind that we prioritize safety and environmental responsibility in every aspect of our work.

  • i want to build a pond how much does it cost?

The overall cost of a water feature significantly depends on various factors, including its size and type. As the saying goes, a good quality pond isn't cheap, and conversely, a cheap pond is unlikely to be good. Most ponds typically require careful planning and thoughtful consideration before the actual construction begins. This planning stage is crucial to ensure that the final result meets your aesthetic and functional desires while maintaining a healthy ecosystem for your aquatic life.

  • what kind of fish can i put in my pond?

Adding koi to ponds can be enjoyable, but their success relies on the pond's depth and size, especially in cold winters. Koi are sensitive to changes in their environment and may not do well in every pond. I often suggest goldfish from pet stores instead. They're affordable, easy to replace if wildlife eats them, and still add color to your pond.
